- The publication of a groundbreaking economic study demonstrating the growing importance of hemp and cannabis in Quebec’s economy.
- The strengthening of the relationship between the UPA and our industry, firmly anchoring hemp and cannabis within Quebec’s agricultural landscape.
- A joint intervention with the Régie de l’énergie, representing average savings of approximately $80,000 per year, per subscription, for eligible greenhouses.
- Meetings with Quebec Members of the National Assembly to showcase the industry’s potential and prepare for upcoming elections.
- The launch of our Members’ Area catalog, enabling members to promote their products in a secure environment and connect directly with industry peers.
- The creation of the C Club, designed to broaden our scope of action and unite those actively contributing to the industry’s evolution.
- The launch of the webinar series “Together, we innovate. We grow.”, a free and open forum bringing together scientific experts and industry professionals to improve practices and support business growth.
- The removal of cannabis stalks from cannabis legislation, opening the door to their reuse and the development of bio-based materials.
- The continued growth of a highly engaged social media community, actively contributing to the demystification and normalization of hemp and cannabis among the general public.
- Organization of the first edition of the Women and Plants event, which brings together women from the cannabis, hemp, horticulture, and plant-related industries.
2023
- IFCHA incorporated with 23 confirmed members
- Association passes 100 member and partner milestone
