Affiliated with the Cégep of Rimouski, SEREX is a College Technology Transfer Center (CCTT) involved in applied research, technical assistance, and training for companies related to the forest product transformation sector. Its areas of expertise include wood processing, sustainable chemistry, forest bioenergy, and eco-construction. SEREX is also recognized as a Technology Access Center (CAT) within the pan-Canadian Tech-Accès network, focusing on eco-construction. To enable its partners to position themselves in future markets, SEREX provides them with a team of experts in bio-sourced materials such as wood and hemp fiber, as well as a set of four technological platforms associated with its areas of expertise.
